PCM3008: VCOM Capacitors

Hi,

According to PCM3008 data sheet, I found that a 0.1uF ceramic and a 1uF or larger chemical capacitor are recommended between VCOM and GND.
For a 1uF capacitor, is it possible to use a 1uF ceramic instead of a 1uF chemical capacitor?

Hello,

Yes, at the time of release of the PCM3008 smaller sized ceramic capacitors of suitable audio quality were not widely available and electrolytic capacitors were often recommended. That has since changed and suitable ceramic capacitors are available. The same recommendation applies to the AC coupling capacitors.
