PCM1795: Icc current consumption

Part Number: PCM1795

Hello,

Total Icc current consumption specification is 18mA(typ) @44.1KHz on the datasheet.

There are 3pins(#15,#23,#28) connection for analog Vcc +5V power supply.

Our customer try to add independent noise de-cupping RC filter for each pin to achieve the best quality sound.

Their question is what is current consumption of #15 Vcc2R and #28 Vcc2L at fs=44.1KHz?

Regards,

Mochizuki

  • Hi Mochizuki-san,

Unfortunately, I do not have that data.  I expect that the majority of the 18mA will flow equally to the VCC2R and VCC2L pins, as they controller, the delta-sigma modulator switching and current sources.  The VCC1 pin is the DSM reference current, so will be lower.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

We have informed it to the customer and waiting their feedback.

    Regards,

    Mochizuki
