TAS5806MD: Can it serve as direct replacement for TAS5806M?

Part Number: TAS5806MD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5806M

TI does not have enough stock of TAS5806M chips, and offered TAS5806MD instead. The difference between the two chips is that TAS5806MD option has a headphone amplifier. I do not need it, so I wonder if I can use "MD" part as a direct replacement for "M" without changing the PCB. All headphone related pins will be grounded; will it cause a chip malfunction or reliability loss? Thanks!
