DRV601: Asking for the DRV601 d/s figure 43k ohm design

Part Number: DRV601

Hi Team,

Customer would like to know the following question for the DRV601 datasheet figure 15.

Q:

1. What is the gain for figure 15? 33k/15k=2V/V, right?

2. What is the 47kohm resistor purpose?

BR,

SHH

  • Hi SHH,

    1. Yes, the gain is set by dividing Rf/Ri so 33k/15k = 2.2V/V
    2. Each channel is configured in a Multiple Feedback Filter topology; the 47kohm resistor is part of this filter topology.

  • Hi Shh,

keep in mind that the DRV601 is wired as inverting OPAmp. So, a standard Low-Pass Sallen-Key architecture is not possible, but only a Low-Pass Multiple-Feedback architecture. This one needs one more resistor.
