PCM1802: What is the actual bit depth of the ADC?

Part Number: PCM1802

Hello,

I am trying to interface the PCM1802 with Arduino MKR1000 and read the I2S bus with one those very cheap logic analyzers. I know the ADC is supposed to be only 24-bit but when I initiate the Arduino as an I2S slave at 24 bits, the I2S does not get initialised. However it does when I set it to 32. Furthermore, when I analyse the signals under 32, LRCLK is 48KHz (Expected) and the CLK is around 3MHz.

I am confused what is the actual work bit depth?

Regards,

Jan
