I just purchased a PP-SALB2-EVM learning board to go with a TAS2557EVM evaluation board. I need to characterize a speaker for my product and the PP-SALB2-EVM didn't come with everything needed to be able to do speaker characterizations.
The LB2 documentation (slou422.pdf) Figure 2 shows the connections for doing speaker characterization. It shows a laser for determining the speaker excursion and a microphone for connecting to J1, the TRS Mic input.
I have a couple of problems:
1. My EVM did not come with the laser that measures the speaker excursion. There is no documentation of what this laser is, who makes it or anything about it.
2. The microphone that came with the EVM is a Dayton Audio iMM-6 Calibrated Measurement Microphone with a 3.5mm headphone plug on the end. This mic is designed for plugging into the headphone/mic jack on an Android or Apple phone. There is no adapter for connecting this mic to the 1/4" jack (J1) on the LB2 board.
Questions:
1. Was the measuring laser supposed to ship with the kit? If not, how do I get one?
2. How do I connect the Dayton Audio microphone to the LB2 board?
