Part Number: TPA3245
Hello,
While I was designing TPA3245 board, I couldn't find what TVS Diode I needed for ESD protection.
The end of the signal out will be connected to a binding post and probably the speakers will be switched while the device is on.
I think the capacitors connected to the ground will help a little, but I'm not sure if that's enough.
Can anyone shed a light on this?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Brain,
From the IC perspective, we already have integrated ESD protection cells to achieve the promised protection degree on datasheet.
If you are worrying about the ESD event on the speaker terminals, caps are not enough. you may add ESD diode on the position that you point out.
Thanks!
Regards,
Sam

Hello Sam,
Thanks for the info.
Do you have any TI TVS Diodes that you can recommend for TPA3245?
Best regards,
Brian
In reply to Brian Han1:
Hi Brian,
According to below ESD selection guide document, TVS3300YZF and TVS3300DRV might be good choices.

Thanks, Sam,
I will start with your suggestion.
