TAS6424-Q1: Impedance Measurement

Part Number: TAS6424-Q1

Hello Team,

customer wants to measure loudspeaker impedance to detect wrong connected loud speakers. These loudspeakers have a huge difference in impedance at 19kHz. Means we can use the AC load diagnostic to detect these loudspeakers. Now question is about the accuracy statement in our datasheet:

With 25% gain a 16 Ohm impedance measurement will have a tolerance of 4 Ohm. Additional offset of 0.5 Ohm means a total tolerance of 4.5 Ohm.
Is this tolerance in both direction (+ and - 4.5 Ohm)?

Means a real 16 Ohm measurement will vary from 11.5 Ohm and 20.5 Ohm
or is it absolute
Means a real 16 Ohm will vary between 13.75 Ohm and 18.25 Ohm?

Many Thanks

Josef
