Hi team,

what happens if MULT = 1 and we need to divide by 10 on the reference? should we program the pre-divider or the post divider?

    Hi Kevin,

    Post divider is recommendable for reference divide only operation to achieve best phase noise performance compare to pre-divider.

    Hi Kevin,

    There is an correction on the previous answer. Post divider is recommendable for LMX2592/94 devices. but in LMX2571 both dividers (pre-divider & post-divider) are same and can be program any one of it in divider only operation.

    For MULT>1, it needs to follow section 8.1.9 in LMX2571 datasheet.
