I have used multiple LMX2595 chips (close to 100).
In one particular PCB the device is not drawing extra current when we program.
That is when turn on it draws close to 160 mA as usual. But on programming the current remains same no increase.
(10 of these PCB are working fine. 1 particular one has this problem so I dont suspect the PCB or programming controller or reference. I have changed one LMX2595 IC. Then also same problem persists ).
One observation is Pin-3 of IC in a working chip shows 1V. In this defect PCB the voltage is 280 mV.
The tune voltage in working PCB is 1.5V. But in defect PCB the voltage is 2.5V.
My curiosity is even if a PLL doesn't lock. It should draw some current extra current when you program and get unlocked to a different default frequency.
If it doesnt draw current what could be the issue. (I have checked the CE pin which is high.)
