LMK00334-Q1: configuring output banks to drive single ended clock out

Part Number: LMK00334-Q1

Hi,

Per datasheet & functional block diagram the output clock buffer is capable of accepting xtal input. Assuming if I need to drive single ended clock output Bank A, can I leave CLKoutA0*& CLKoutA1* unconnected?

Do advise if I'm looking at the correct device if i need a buffer which supports 25MHz xtal input/ 3.3V 25MHz buffer clock output with 1 to 4 port output. Thanks.

BR,

Leo

  • Hi Leo,

The LMK00334-Q1 device does accept a 25MHz XTAL input and 3.3V 25MHz output. It also is 1 input to 4 output ports.

However, it does not support any single ended outputs and therefore, you would not be able to drive Bank A as single ended. This device can only drive HCSL outputs. You can leave any of the outputs floating, per datasheet suggestion under 8.3.3 Clock Outputs.

Are you looking to drive 2 single ended and 2 differential outputs (4 total)?

    Regards,

    Jennifer
