What operating system are you using? is it 64 bits processor?

If you are using the board with the socket (the programmer EVM), so you can place in a socket the device you would like to pre program, then you can find the drivers attached.

If you are using the performance EVM, then the drivers should have been installed in your computer as they are part of the installer.

Please confirm what board are you using.

I have tried both 32 and 64 bit machines with no luck. It is the programmer. I have the eval board and it works fine

Please connect the Programming EVM board as stated in the Programming EVM users guide, and then go to the following part of the menu:

There you will have access to the programmer EVM SW. The drivers were attached in a2555.VCP_DriverForProgrammingEVM.zip previous post, but I attach them here again.

does not work. This is the same thing I was advised to do in previous attempts to get help.  The person I at support contacted the group that designed the unit and there is an issue. The person said they would give me instructions after he spoke to the group. It has been over a week with no response.

I talked to Bill yesterday, the sw for the programer is under the main menu>Tools>TI Programmer EVM. Communication with the programmer EVM is not possible from the main screen as this is only valid for performance EVMs.

I went to the tools menus and the driver issue is solved. However, when I tried to program parts I keep getting the message that it can not program as the part is "locked". I did not activate the lock button. i tried multiple devices with the same error message.

have tried this on 3 different computers and I keep getting error message -

EEprom locked in COM17  (CDCE913/CDEL913) device. It can not be programmed

I still having problems programming. Can you send my an exact procedure for programming this part and all of the links to software I need to use.

I have the same issue. The connection button never goes green. Drivers installed fine. Tried 5 different devices and on 2 computers. Can not communicate with the board and/or the IC. If there is a working procedure to make it work please send it to me or share here.

I suffered with this issue for weeks. The TI staff spent considerable time trying to help.  After numerous attempts finally came to the conclusion there was a software issue with the programming board. The evaluation board works great. So I took and added some wires that connected the sda/scl lines on the eval board to the sda and scl lines on my board. Basically I guess you would consider I was programming in parallel. This works and that is what I do. They were supposed to be working on the code for the programming module--maybe it is fixed and there is a new download but I have not checked lately. i would look there for a new release. Failing that my approach--a little awkward works. Do not forget that you have to pull the Vdout pins low when programming.

Thank you Bill. had to return the programming module and follow you advice. It worked for me. Had some troubles with locking the IC on the frequency but it all works now. Thank you again.

Followed Bill's advice. The issue with programming module was known for a while now. Defective programming module should not be for sale, or there should be a solution or the way to make it work. Lost almost two weeks because of this.

I have been using the work around to programming parts and production is complaining. Has the programming software/hardware been fixed so the parts can be programmed easily??
