LMX2594EVM: Reference pro - not programming

Dear e2e team,

I have issues with Reference PRO which came with LMX2594EVM.

It was purchased two years back and working fine till few months back. When we were trying to use it, it doesn't seems to write.

But when we view with CRO the clock, data, chip select are looks perfect in levels and timings.

We tried it multiple LMX2594 devices.

We tried pulling MISO high and did read back, it is read as "0".

Kindly help me to fix it.

Let me know more details required.

Hi Samp,

After connecting the USB in Reference Pro board, are you able to detect USB connected in TICS Pro?

Yes it perfectly connects.

That is how we could check the clock, data, MOSI with CRO by writing registers

Hi Samp,

So in that case to check the device programming status, can you confirm that after Vcc power up the board, if you write POWERDOWN = 1, you can see current drop? If there is no current drop then we can conclude that the board is out of order. Have you also see the data line in oscilloscope and is it same as write details?

Hi Ajeet,

When I write from reference PRO nothing is written into PLL , powerdown or reset !!!

Have you probed the SPI signals at the LMX input pins? If yes, the probed data same as you are writing from Reference Pro?

-->This signifies that, Reference pro is sending data correctly. but not written properly on device.

Have you replaced multiple device on LMX2594EVM and seeing the same issue?

--> If yes, then there may be some issue happened on board which affecting the device writing issue.

Please verify the EVM supply voltage and drawing current. If still see the issue, you may probably need the another EVM board.
