LMK04806: PLL2 N divider value combination

Hello,

My customer is using the LMK04806 with the PLL2 setup below and the PLL2 is locked normally.

However, it is said that changing the N divider combination from 2/40 to 4/20, the PLL2 is unlocked.

Are there any rules to follow for PLL2 N divider combinations?

Or is there a problem with the customer's settings?

    Hi JH,

    During the VCO frequency calibration, it would take PLL2_N_CAL value for calibration and PLL2_N_CAL value should be same as PLL2_N.

    So when they are changing the PLL2_N value from 40 --> 20, they need to change the PLL2_N_CAL value also to 20 (R29 register).
