Hi, I am looking for the Program and Control manual that has the list of Commands that one could send over a USB Com Port or Telnet to the EVM to control its functionality using another piece of automation software. Please note that I already have the TISCS Software but need the Command set. I already have the Technical Info on the EVM. I have been advised by other TI Support team to contact you.

Hi Zaheer,

TICS Pro is all we have to support programming of the device, we don't have other software support in this regard.

If you have TICS Pro installed, you can find the code we wrote in TICS Pro in below path:

C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\PLL + VCO\LMX2592

Hi, Please try to understand my request. I am NOT asking for another Software but Command Set that can be employed to control the EVM via the TeraTerm/RealTerm/Putty.

Zaheer,

The EVM has a SPI bus on it, so unless your terminal can write SPI there's no way to just send Telnet/COM/etc. I guess if you have a parallel port you can bit-bang SPI to the device. Alternately, if you have some 3rd party USB-to-SPI adapter with a kernel driver, you could communicate through this.

We have a USB2ANY programmer distributed with the LMX2592EVM, which we use as a bridge between a USB-based DLL (Windows-only, I believe) and the SPI bus. There's ways you can automate this programmer, see https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-timing-group/clock-and-timing/f/clock-timing-forum/1025934/lmx2594evm-serial-control-through-python, but it's off the beaten path for our EVMs and you're on your own making it work for your setup beyond what we've provided. Note that python isn't strictly required; any language that can link the DLL should work.

Derek, Thank you for sharing this response. Unfortunately the Link that you have posted carries me to a page that does not exist. Is it possible to share the list of SPI Commands that could program the EVM. We have the USB2SPI adapter. All we want to do is to Power the EVM ON and just activate the outputs to produce a signal based on our previously configured setting.
