Hi,

I am testing the DCO mode of the CDCE6214 at the moment.

Setting and changing the output frequency with ticspro works fine.

I need to know the frequency which is put out by the chip in DCO mode.

Is it possible to read back the actual DCO numerator using I2C? Or is it necessary to keep track of this value using the increase/decrease commands?

Hi Michael,

This cannot be read back unfortunately. You'll have to count the increment/decrement steps in your own code. Then you can calculate the actual frequency offset knowing the step size frequency.

Hi Michael it seems that we have the same problem with this component !

It's not only it can't be read back, it's also we can't reset it and it may go out of control !
