I check the D/S between CDCDB800 and CDCDB803, the major difference I find is that CDCDB803 has selectable SMBus addresses function. I'm quite curious about the usage of this SMBus addresses selection function. Could you pls help me clarify this? And why AMD/Intel usually recommends to use both CDCDB800 and CDCDB803 in their reference design?

The SMBus address functionality is useful in distinguishing between multiple CDCDB803 devices under one SMBus controller. For example, if you have 4 CDCDB803 devices, then you can assign each device a different address (choose 4 from the 9 possibilities listed in Table 8-1). The Controller can then select which specific device to communicate to based on its address.
Please share the reference design where you see that AMD/Intel recommends both.
