LMK03328:Regarding abnormal operation of the output port of LMK03328

Part Number: LMK03328

I am using your company's LMK03328.
Out6&7 isn't working properly.
Output of Out6 stops in the middle.
Out7 is in an unstable state where the output stops or outputs.
Observed with an oscilloscope, other Outs are operating normally.

Is there anything you can think of as a possible factor in this situation?
IC Revision Difference Will this happen?
Please check the attached configuration file that we are using.LMK00328.tcs

  • Hi Kakeru,

Can you share your scope images of OUT6 and OUT7?

    Hi Hao,

    Please check their configuration file.

    Regards,

    Jennifer

  • Hi Jennifer,

There is no out7 output waveform.

The output waveform of out7 is as shown in the figure below.

I've confirmed that my config file is okay.

Can you also check if my config file is correct?

When I set the Outputs Muxes setting of Out7 to PRIEF instead of PLL, the output became normal.

Is it a clue to the cause of this time?

  • Hi Kakeru,

    Please check a few things:

    1. Is the PLL locked? With current configuration, PLL1 lock status can be read from pin STATUS1. LOL means Loss of Lock. So if STATUS1 pin is low, it means PLL1 is locked. If it's not locked, try doing a soft reset by toggling the RESETN_SW bit.

    2. If PLL is locked, try disabling the PLL1 output SYNC:

    3. Does this issue happen on all devices or just some devices? If it's the latter, did you do ABA swap to isolate the cause?

    Regards,
    Hao
