CDCI6214: Register settings for 49.152MHz & 48Mhz output on Y1P channel

CDCI6214 cannot generate these frequencies at the same time. Please try LMK03328 instead. You can use the wizard in Ticspro for frequency calculation.

We have a board that is with CDCI6214. Is LMK03328 is drop and replacement for the CDCI6214?

What should we do to achieve 48Mhz and 49Mhz using CDCI6214, since we already used this IC in our board

As per the below datasheet of CDCI6214, it should be supporting flexible output frequency, may I know what is the exact limitation here to generate 49.152Mhz and 48Mhz.?

Hi Peri,

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately LMK03328 is not drop in replaceable. Notice that CDCI6214 only has an integer PLL + integer output divider. So a multiple of output frequency must be within the VCO range (the VCO range can be found in the datasheet). To generate two frequencies at the same time, then one common multiple of the two frequencies must be within the VCO range. That's why the two frequencies cannot be generated at the same time.

CDCE6214 is pin compatible with CDCI6214 and has a fractional PLL. Still, it can't generate the two frequencies at the same time either.

How about generating only one frequency at a time? Is that possible to generate only 49.152Mhz at Y1P channel of the CDCI6124?

I don't need two frequencies at the same time. I want 49.152Mhz first, then I will change the register settings to generate 48Mhz later. 

Could you please provide the register files?

Hi Peri,

This is possible with CDCE6214 but not CDCI6214. Still, you cannot generate 49.152MHz together with 10Mhz, 25Mhz, 50Mhz, and 100Mhz unless you use a 49.152MHz XTAL.
