LMX2594: Refence setup for 2594

Hi,

We are using 2594 with 100MHz OSc (VC-708) as in the eval. When we do the bottom setup we are having sync issue, suggest a solution: (TDD Testing)

100MHz OSC (Reference) - 2594 - up conversion (Setup 1)

100MHz OSC (Reference)- 2594 - down conversion (Setup 2)

Both the setup are distance apart

I am afraid I don't understand your question/request, what problem you are facing with the device?

So we have a TX and Rx with 2594 as LO (VC-708 as reference crystal). So as both crystals will have different drift the IF are not syncing even if the offset is matched at LO. It sync only when the reference OSc freq is shared and which is not possible when TX and Rx are some distance apart

Hi Siddharth,

I think you cannot use the on-board reference clock as you have pointed out, they are individual clocks without any relationship. If you have a signal generator, you can use a power splitter to turn it into two outputs. Or you can use a clock buffer to make multiple clock outputs. The EVM is very flexible, you can modify the board to accept external clock, please read the EVM user's guide for how to configure it to use external reference clock.

Thanks for info.

But one thing i just checked that 2594 IC are not available, we are working on the architecture from a time, hope it will be in stock soon? Or we need to look for an alternate IC if so please suggest.
