CDCE6214: Phase jitter calculation, 100MHz clock for PCIe

Hello team,

Datasheet p.8 of CDCE6214 specifies RMS phase jitter with 1600fs(typ) and 2100fs(max) at 12kHz to 20MHz condition, and with 475fs(typ) and 1000fs(max) with PCIe Gen 3 filter.

I have questions below. Could you please answer these?

What will the jitter be in case of PCIe Gen 4 filter applied and in case of PCIe Gen 5 filter applied?
Could you let me know how to calculate the jitter value of PCIe Gen4 filter applied case and PCIe Gen5 filter applied case from Phase Noise plot?

Hello Sato-san,

please excuse the long delay.

1. We don't have that data as of now. But we are in process of adding that to the datasheet. Timeline still tdb.

2. The PCIe Sig defines certain transfer functions that you can apply to the measured output phase noise. The Transfer functions have bandpass characteristic.
