I plan to use LMX2572LP at VHF (vide avionic band 118-156MHz), in integer mode, with phase detector frequency 267kHz and 1-st IF 45MHz, then highest 1-st LO frequency multiplied by 32 in the LMX2572LP is 6432MHz. In datasheet, the highest limit for VCO bank frequency is however 6400MHz, I would avoid switching VCO from 6400MHz to 3200MHz and divider to 16. What effects can occur when using VCO frequency above the upper limit (when testing LMX2572EVM, I don’t observe any problems in room temperature)? Thank for any comment.
