LMK61E0M: Linux kernel I2C driver and Set the output clock freq to 90MHZ

Hi Team,

We are using this chipset to provide external clock to video unit for display.

I have checked but no Linux kernel driver is available.

Do you have linux kernel driver available for mention chipset? If yes then can you please share the driver or path in existing linux kernel codebase.

Our purpose is to set the 90MHZ clock output clock which will be given to the video unit.

For this, we need to set the PLL and other configuration of this chipset.

Can you please share the register configuration require to achive the 90MHZ output clock?

What will be the clock generated from the chipset?

NOTE: We are able to detect this chipset over I2C verified using the i2cdetect utility and able to read register of chipset using i2c utility.

    Hello Dhaval, 

    Unfortunately, there are no linux drivers. 

    I believe the LMK61E2 profile can be used to program the device, but not 100% certain and currently no lab access so it may be something you have to verify on your end. You can install TICSpro software from TI website. Then please manually load in the profile attached below (do NOT unzip). 

    1. Menu option "Select Device"
    2. Select Import user device 
    3. Browse to the profile attached here (leave it unzipped) 

    Once done, you should see the option under select device --> user device --> LMK61E2. 

    Once the profile is loaded, there's an EZ config tab that allows you to set the programming frequency and click generate configuration. Only issue I see is only differential options and LMK61E0M is single ended. That register needs to be reprogrammed manually to CMOS mode. 

    Note raw register tab you can export the registers and have full programming register list.
