Hi Team,

Couple of general questions on the LMK05318B for my understanding.

Is an XO & BAW lock required to function? Could an LMK just use the primary refclk without the BAW lock?
(and vice versa) is the primary reflclk required to function? Could an LMK just use the XO without the primary clk input?

Hello Delaney,

1. An XO input is required for the device to function. Without an XO input, the APLLs of the device will not be able to lock and no output signals will be generated.

2. The REFCLK is NOT required for the device to function. The REFCLK is used for the DPLL to lock to. The DPLL provides a greater frequency accuracy to the output signal, but is not required for generating the output clocks.
