Besides SDA and SCL(I2C) signals what other signals are required for loading EEPROM image file into CDCI6214 configuration EEPROM?

Do we need to follow power up sequence and also do we need the following signals, RESTN, REFSEL, EEPROMSEL, to be in known state for programming EEPROM image?

- CDCI6214 document describes the EEPROM direct access procedure , pg. 28, 29. See attached Steps 1 thru 7 and EEPROM Direct Access flow steps 1 thru 5.

Hello,

The EERPOM image is written through I2C. So you only need to connect those two signal pins. However, in the default image of EEPROM page 0, I2C is not accessible because pin mode is enabled. So EEPROMSEL cannot be low. You can power up the device either in fallback mode (EEPROMSEL = REFSEL = float) or EEPROM page 1 (EEPROMSEL = high, REFSEL = low or high).

Can I program it using any I2C compatible programmer or Do I need TICS Pro software?

Hello,

Sorry for the delay. No you don't have to use Ticspro. You can export the hex registers from Ticspro by File -> Export hex registers.
