TPL5111: About to extend DRVn H level.

Hi team,

One of my customers is evaluating TPL5111 for their new products.
At this moment, the customer has the following questions.
Could you please give me your advice?

Q1. We’d like to extend the device interval time using DELAY/M_DRV terminal after DRVn rising from L to H.
Is there any way to extend DRVn H level?

Q2. Can DRVn be kept H level when DELAY/M_DRV terminal is pulled up to VDD?

Hi Kengo,

If there is no DONE signal received, DRVn pin will be HIGH for tIP - 50ms. tIP is determined by the shunt resistor at the DELAY/M_DRV pin. So if you want to extend DRVn HIGH time, you can adjust the shunt resistor value.

We can force DRV to assert HIGH with a pulse at DELAY/M_DRV pin. The timer starts counting after DELAY/M_DRV goes LOW + 20 ms(tDB). If you keep DELAY/M_DRV HIGH, DRV will stay HIGH and the timer will not start until DELAY/M_DRV pin goes LOW.

1 : is this timing chart written?

2 : Is it possible to extend the time of DRVn=H again by inserting the falling edge of the DELAY/M_DRV signal while DRVn=H?
