LMX2595: MUXOUT pin goes high several times during only one frequency hopping in full assist mode

Part Number: LMX2595

Hi, ti

I am using full assist mode and obey the procedure below. The VCO_CAPCTRL and DACISET are calculated in advance. Is it possible that the MUXOUT pin goes high several times during only one frequency hopping?

I guess there might be something wrong about the values of VCO_CAPCTRL and DACISET. Am I right?

  • Hi Liu,

In full assist, VCO parameters are obtained from calibration, not calculation, this will ensure you have the correct VCO values.

Please note, whenever you have complete a register write, the written value will be effective immediately. For example, in the bottom block of the flow chart, after (1) is written, the new PLL_N will be effective immediately. In other words, your PLL is unlocked immediately. As a result, lock detect will turn LOW. In order to reduce the "unlock" time, you have to program the registers as fast as possible.
