CDCE72010 application questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE72010

Hi,

I am using the CDCE72010 in a 120MHz application where I need 10 low jitter outputs and three different divide values.

We plan to use the VCXO inputs for the input 120MHZ and essentially ignore the reference inputs, feedback divider and charge pump functions.

One question I have is:  Does this allow me to combine all the input circuitry supplies into one filtered supply, so that I will have only a Vcc_VCXO supply (powering the Vcc_PLL, Vcc_In, VccA and Vcc_CP supply inputs as well)?  I would also have a separately filtered output supply (Vcc).

What is the recommended treatment for the unused reference inputs?

Thanks.

    Hi David,

Yes, you can combine Vcc_PLL, Vcc_In, VccA and Vcc_CP supplies as you are not using this circuits in your buffer mode.

Unused Reference inputs: Please choose LVCMOS input  (Input buffer type) and tie all the input pins to ground though 1k resistors.

    Thanks,

    Firoj
