CDCM6208: CDCM6208V1 vs CDCM6208V2

Part Number: CDCM6208

Hello, what are the differences between the CDCM6208V1 and CDCM6208V2?
Also, what are the differences between CDCM6208V1EVM and CDCM6208V2EVM?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello,

The difference between V1 and V2 is simply the VCO tuning ranges. In order to meet certain frequency plan requirements, one device (read: VCO tuning range) may be better suitable for certain applications.
From a functionality and programming perspective, both devices are identical.

  • Thanks for the information.
One more question, does the CDCM6208 require configuration after every power up? Or is the configuration stored in memory?

  • Hello Talal,

The CDCM6208 has a ROM. The ROM page can be selected by the SI_MODE0 , SI_MODE1, Pin1, Pin2, Pin3, and Pin4 pins. Table 6 (CDCM6208V1) and table 8 (CDCM6208V2) in the CDCM6208 data sheet show the clock settings that the device will boot up with based off of your configuration of the SI_MODE0 , SI_MODE1, Pin1, Pin2, Pin3, and Pin4 pins.
