LMX2594: Power up sequences timing

Part Number: LMX2594

Hi,

Using the LMX2594 in my design, I would like to find the best way to power down/up the device.

From the datasheet and the forum, there are two ways to perform that:

1. Using the R0 register, with the POWERDOWN bIt high

2. Using the R44 register with OUTx_PD.

I am wondering about the two sequences timing. From several questions asked by users on the forum, the first way takes about 1ms, but I did not find any information about the timing of the second way. Do you have any data from measurement to provide me ?

Thank you

Stephane

  • Hi Stephane,

Both 1 & 2 are not Vcc power down. 1. is put the device in sleep mode while 2. is just power off the output buffer.

What kind of "power down" you are looking for?

The response time of 2. is very fast, I think it takes a few µs to shut down the buffer.
