LMX2581: Vtune in Input after programming

Is the Vtune pin necessary if the LMX2581 is programmed to output a specific frequency? If not, should it be tied high?

    Hi Tate,

    Vtune must be connected to a loop filter. Below is a third order filter, depending on your application need, a second order (without R3 and C3) is also possible.

    If you do not have an idea what filter is needed, simply copy the filter being used in the EVM.
