LMK04610: Questions for LMK04610 Clocks Output Synchronization

Hi Team,

Our customer wants to check below questions for LMK04610 clock input and output, please help to check:

1. Does all clocks output are synchronized in phase?

2. If answer is Yes for question 1, does it also synchronized to input clock?

3. If all are not synchronized, do we have any solutions to make it synchronized?

    Hi Jacky,

    The outputs can all be synchronized using the SYNC pin. 

    Please refer to 9.1.7.5 Clock Output SYNChronization, 9.3.2.3 SYNC, 9.3.4.3 Additional SYNC Pin Functions, 9.3.7.1 SYNC Pins, 9.3.7.2 SYNC modes.

    Hi Jacky,

    LMK04610 supports SYNCed outputs using the sync feature, which resets the output dividers and enables the digital delay for any phase adjustments.

    Regarding the input to output sync, if they used in PLL2 mode along with the zero delay, they should get the input to output clocks phase sync.

    Hi Ajeet,

    Thanks for the confirmation. BTW, customer also has below requirements for clock generator or buffer, can you help to check if we have any suitable devices?

    1. Support SYNCed clocks output with 50MHz, 100MHz, 150MHz and 200MHz.

    2. Phase noise better than -135dB@1kHz at clocks 100Mhz~200MHz.
