LMK03318: I2C Slave Addresses in Register Default Mode

We are using Page Select pins of LMK03318 in Register Default Mode.

When GPIO1=LO, we cannot communicate with the slave address set to 0x50, but we can communicate with the slave address set to 0x54.

Similarly, when GPIO1 = MID, we cannot communicate when the slave address is set to 0x51, but we can communicate when the slave address is set to 0x55.

From this, we assume that the I2C slave address in the case of Register Default Mode is 10101xx, is this correct?

Hello Hirabayashi,

Just to confirm, is HWCNTRL=LO and GPIO[3:2]=MID ?
If that's the case you're in register default mode and with GPIO1=LO & GPIO1=MID; device should be able to communicate with slave address being 0x50 and 0x51 respectively.

Hi Vicente,

Yes, HW_SW_CTRL=LO and GPIO[3:2]=MID.
I read registers R0 to R10 for the device with GPIO[1]=LO.
I2C slave address was 0x54 for communication.
The read values are as follows
R0=0x10
R1=0x0B
R2=0x33
R3=0x02
R4=0x00
R5=0x00
R6=0x00
R7=0x00
R8=0x6A
R9=0x00
R10=0x00

I expect R10=0xA0, but R10=0x00.

Hi Hirabayashi,

The I2C target address can be changed in the EEPROM for this device. If anything got written in byte 11 of EEPROM, this would have caused the target address changes.

I understand that the slave address of this device can be changed in EEPROM.
But what I want to know is the slave address in Register default Mode.

The target address in Register default mode is 1010111.
