Customer would like to know if there are any risk to connect output P/N reverse for AC output type, like LVDS/LVPECL/HCSL? (output P > receiver N, output N > receiver P)

This can be done but customer should be aware output will be inverted.

Since this is AC signal, is there any side-effect for our output P/N design?

Any impact for clocking downstream device?

Hi Ben,

In general, swapping the P/N pins of an AC-coupled differential signal is fine as long as there are no clock phase alignment requirements. Phase noise and jitter should remain the same as well.
