LMX2492: LMX2492 IC simulation file

Hi Texas team,

We want to use LMX2492 IC as PLL for our X-band transmitter designing, before going to the PCB level we want to simulate our whole system in ADS software. IBIS file given in website is enough for simulation or you can provide other file so that we can perform simulation in ADS software.

Hi Amit,

What kind of simulation you want to do? SPI interface or loop performance?

If you want to design the loop filter, you can use PLL Sim.

Hi Noel, we want to make X-band signal generator board for our application. We want to check SPI interface and loop performance of LMX2492 with other VCO to get signal power and quality to anaylse in ADS simulation before going to PCB level.

Can you give me any model of LMX2492 IC which can be used in ADS software simulation to do analysis of SPI interface, loop filter design, analysing power level and spurs and after integration with other component IC and do matching.

Hi Amit,

We have IBIS model, you can download it from the product webpage. IBIS is good for SPI interface signal integrity check. ADS should accept IBIS.

Loop filter design, we have the PLL Sim. We don't have other model for ADS.
