Hi team,

Can CDCE6214-Q1 be used to generate1x 270MHz output (LVDS) with a 27MHz crystal?

When I use Clock Tree Architect tool, I receive the following message - "Sorry, we were unable to find any solutions with the information you have provided us."

Yes CDCE6214-Q1 can generate a 270 MHz LVDS output.

Can you show the detailed step how to generate 270MHz LVDS output in TICS Pro? I have tried to use the tool (without EVM) but I could not get output of 270MHz after I click "Calculate Frequency Plan" button in "Outputs" page. Thanks.

Hi Pengyu,

I didn't notice the VCO frequency I used (2700 MHz) is out of the VCO range... This frequency planner is correct, this device cannot generate a 270 MHz output. A 2430 MHz VCO frequency (which is in the VCO range) can generate a 270 MHz output by simply dividing down the VCO frequency by 9 but the problem here is that the PLL has pre-scalar dividers that are fixed values: 4, 5, 6 which makes it impossible to get 270 MHz from any of the frequencies generated after these pre-scalar dividers. Sorry about the confusion.
