LMK03318: Power consumption calculation

Guru 11160 points
Part Number: LMK03318

Hello,

My customer wants to know the LMK03318 power consumption for user's use case.

Please provide any tools or data that can calculate power consumption for user's use case.

Thank you.

JH

  • Hi JH,
There is no tool but total current consumption can be read on on TICSpro if they're using the software.

The datasheet on page 9 also mentions typical current consumptions by blocks, customer can use this and add up all consumptions based on their use case to calculate power.

    Regards,

    Vicente

  • Hi Vicente,

    Thanks for your help.

It seems that LMK03318EVM is required to read the total current consumption from the TICS Pro S/W. However, the customer does not have the EVM.

Could you please provide the total current consumption for the customer's register settings below?

  • Hi JH,
When I load their config on my EVM I see around 63-64 mA of current being drawn or
    P=V * I = 3.3 V * 64 mA = 211.2 mW

    Regards,

    Vicente
