LMX2595: Locking

Hello,

We have built a custom board with the LMX2595 which is very similar to the LMX2595EVM with provision for the same programming header (USB2ANY). A 100MHz LVDS reference is being fed (and this was checked at the capacitor feeding this clock closest to the OSCIN pins).

We are running the "default code" in the GUI for the device and see a signal pop-up but not at the right frequency (the current goes up). Also, when we introduce the divider we see a divided signal at the output.

When FCAL_EN is clicked we see the signal slowly move and settle at some point (neither at the right frequency nor locked). Re-clicking FCAL_EN repeats this process.

Overall I feel that the SPI communication is in place but there is something that we are missing.

May I ask you to please advise,

Regards,
