LMK04828: Glitches in sysref output when operated in pulse mode.

Part Number: LMK04828

Hi,

I am using LMK04828 IC with an input frequency of 150 MHz.When operated in continuous sysref mode ,no glitches are observed in LCPECL and LVDS mode. But when sysref pulse mode is ON,we observe some glitches.I have attached the images for continuous sysref for LCPECL,LVDS & pulse mode output of LCPECL,LVDS respectively. Also attached the configuration file.why do these glitches arise during pulse mode ?

Is there any specific termination required while operating in pulse mode?

  • Hello Sarojini,

The LMK04828 has a feature to obtain glitchless halfstep and analog delay. I believe turning these registers on (set them to 0 or unselecting the check box in TICS Pro) could solve your problem. Please look at the images below for pin names (p. 66 of the data sheet) and their location in TICS Pro:

Also, if this does not work for you, could you please attach your .tcs file? Are you using the LMK04828 EVM?

    Good Luck,

    Andrea
