CDCEL9XXPROGEVM: CDCEL9XXPROGEVM Cannot Connect - In Clock Pro

Hi,

I have a CDCEL9XXPROGEVM evaluation board as I want to tweak some setting in a CDCE937 device.

However, I cannot connect to the board when running the clock pro wizard and development tool part, never see a green circle all refreshes just bring up local options. The stage thing is if I go into the "Programming EVM Tool" and select the device the development board is found and I can connect (see image). However, going into the other options that eventually launch the "TI Clock Pro 1.2.1" window which would all me to with the option to adjust setting the device/eval board are not found I only ever get a local option. How do I make Clock Pro find the board/Chip?

I am currently running on Windows XP as it did work at all on my current Windows 10 machine.

Hello Mark,

It seems that you are using an outdated version of the TI ClockPro Programmer. I would suggest you download this program on your Windows 10 machine and check to see if you finally see a connection. Hope this helps!

Hello Andrea,

This makes no difference, the link you pointed to downloads "scac119e.zip", which installs version 1.21 as per my screen shot. Therefore it is no different to what I had previously installed and therefore I have the same behaviour?

Hi Vicente,

Thanks for the help, it has moved forwards slightly. I now have the same behaviour in Windows 10 as XP.

I can connect and see board when using the "Programming EVM Tool". The driver no longer has a warning and is using COM5.

However, I still cannot every get a green connection using the Generate setup / Clock pro tool. The first thing I need to do is read a device which I was hoping I could do with the clock pro software but this side of the software never seems to connect?

Hello Mark,

I found these 3 other E2E posts to further help you. In summary, try to run the device with combability mode off and, if not, check to confirm that you see the driver under "other devices," per the picture below.
