BQ32000: I2C Data have 1V ACK

Hi Team,

1. As below I2C Data measurement of BQ32000 and the ACK is pulled to 1V level.

2. When the Motor starts up, the nFAULT pin on the DRV8820 will pull Low (UVLO/OCP/TSD does not happen), it may be caused by inrush current, is this normal?

Hi Kevin,

The 1 V ACK does seem to be on the high side. What values are you using for the pull up resistors, and how many other devices are on the same I2C bus? It might be worth choosing the pull up resistors based on the calculation mentioned here: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slva689/slva689.pdf?ts=1597789912537. It's possible that the BQ32000 is having pulling the voltage any lower if the pull up resistance is too small.

Just to clarify, are we talking about the DRV8802 or DRV8825 by chance? We don't have a DRV8820 device.

Hi Connor,

Pull up resistor tried 4.7K or 10K, the result is the same,

Any other ideas to try?
