CDCS504-Q1: Please review the schematic

Part Number: CDCS504-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS6424

Hello TI experts,

My customer wants to use CDCS504-Q1 with TAS6424L to apply MCLK.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio-group/audio/f/audio-forum/1182351/tas6424l-q1-please-review-the-schematic

Could you review the schematic for that purpose?

And here is one more question, please advice about the setting of FS and OE pin considering internal pull-up.

Best regards,

Chase

  • Hello Chase,

    p. 8 of the data sheet contains a detailed explanation of using the CDCS504-Q1 and the TAS6424L together. I will get back to you by the end of the week with more detailed feedback, but please use this as a reference in the meantime and update me too.

    Best,

    Andrea

  • Dear Andrea,

Thank you for your support, and please let me know if there are any updates about the issue above.

    Best regards,

    Chase

  • Hello Chase,

It seems that the customer is floating the FS nd OE pins, may I ask why? Depending on the operation they want, I would recommend to not float both pins. Instead, please follow the guidelines and table below from p. 7 of data sheet. Also, based on the previous section I sent, it seems that when using a TAS6424, you set the device to x1 mode when a 32 MHz frequency is desired and x4 mode when a 27 MHz frequency is desired. Hope this helps!

    Good luck,

    Andrea
