CDCE72010: Problem Write to EEPROM

Part Number: CDCE72010

Using the Evaluation board , CDCE72010EVM with the GUI interface to write to EEPROM. It appear to no changes on the write attempt. Change the U4, 25LC512 eeprom able to fix the problem?

Any way to check if the EEPROM is already locked? or it is faulty?

And for the reset button, how does it work?

Thanks for advice.

  • Hello Sheng,

I'm not fully understanding what you are attempting to do to fix the problem. What do you mean by changing U4, 25LC512 EEPROM. Also, please attach a TICS Pro file (.tcs file) so I can load it on my board and better support you. Also, did you follow the steps starting on p. 21 "Writing to EEPROM" section when programming EEPROM? Please respond with the steps you followed whether you did or not.

One of the best ways to check if you EEPROM is faulty is setting your EEPROM to the page you want to read from, completing a power cycle and determining if the output frequencies programmed are correct. Also, note this comment from p. 19 of the data sheet:

And for the reset button, how does it work?

Please find the excerpt from p. 5 of the data sheet below:

Also, this E2E may help you in better understanding/programming EEPROM. Hope this helps!

    Good luck,
