Low rate PRBS Generator

Hi Folks,

I am wondering if one of your products can generate low rate (1 MHz) pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS)? Is there something available?

Hi Navid,

I don't think clocking devices can generate a pseudo random sequence. They can be used as clock source for the whole system. I am forwarding this to our interface and ethernet product line who can probably assist you with this request.

Thank you Asim for your quick reply. I am not sure if I send my question to the right place but I have found some TI EVMs (retimers) which are capable of generating high speed PRBS. So, I am wondering if there is an EVM module for low speed PRBS generation (1 Mbps) and would be thankful if you can guide me to the correct product line.

Hi Navid,
Our retimers have PRBS generators but the lowest speeds they can generate is 2.5G

We don't have any PRBS generator capable of producing at 1 MHz rate
