CDCLVP110: Clock & timing - INTERNAL forum

Part Number: CDCLVP110

Hi Expert,

We are working on using CDCLVP110VFR to replace the Renesas 853S111BYILFT.

The engineer is doing the evaluating and reported the CDCLVP110VFR output swing is too small.

Performance reading:

The target spec is 800mV.

Pls advice us how to finetune this of the schematic design?

Lower pull down resistor can large the output swing?

Thanks

Eric

  • Hi Eric,

150 ohm to ground should be fine.  I ran a quick simulation and swing looks good to me. What is their output load conditions at the receiver side? because if they have 100 ohm  I would expect this swing as shown below in sim. Other thing that can be looked at is to see if we have proper soldering connection. This can be one reason that could cause degradation.

    Best,

    Asim
