CDCE706: older part CDC704PW memory question

Part Number: CDCE706

Hi, I had to use the newer part to post the question. This question is for the older CDC704PW that is NRND.

I’m trying to get information of the programmable SMBus/i2c/Memory space within the part.  I just need to know how much of that 27 Bytes of space (Bytes 0 to 26) is Volatile vs. Non-Volatile.

Thanks in advance.

  • Kannan,

All 27 bytes are R/W, unless the datasheet expressly states otherwise. At startup, all of these registers are loaded into the device from EEPROM - if their contents are changed without programming to the EEPROM, they will be overwritten with the EEPROM values upon power-cycle.

    Thanks,

    Kadeem
