video blanking

Is somewhere the pin for “VBL” signal (video blanking),

I need to know exactly if the image has arrived.

Thank you

  • Hello Evgeny,

Are you using Video Mode or Video Pattern Mode?  You should be able to use the Vsync for this.

Can you tell me a little bit more about what you are trying to accomplish so I can assist you better?

  • Thank you to attention, I need to send images to DMD so fast as possible ... (where is vsync pin or plug, has it number? how to find on the board?)

  • Evgeny,

If you are using Video Pattern Mode, then I suggest using Trigger Out 1 and/or Trigger Out 2.  These are called out in the EVM guide.

The rising and falling edge can be delayed for these triggers - See Pattern Settings picture.

Trigger Out 1 marks out the exposure time (goes high and stays high) for each defined sequence that starts with a "Frame Change" (i.e. vsync).

Trigger Out 2 can be turned off or on per each sub-sequence and if set, marks the beginning of the subsequence with a pulse (it does not remain on for the whole sub-sequence).  Notice that I turned off Trigger 2 for the second sub-sequence in the Pattern Design picture below.

NOTE:  The Pattern Design picture below shows three 8-bit sub-sequences (based on G0-G7, R0-R7, and B0-B7).  However, at 120 Hz input frame rate there is not enough time to show three 8-bit sub-sequences, only two.
