LMK04828: Unable to write FF value in 0x144 register

Part Number: LMK04828

Dear team,

We are using LMK04828BISQE/NOPB in our design. we can only write 00 to 7F value in 0x144 register,we are unable to write only FF value in 0x144 register. If we write FF value in 0x144 register, while read back we find value 0 in 0x144 register.

  • Hi Selvakumar,

Can you please share the configuration file, you are using for the programming, to look on the settings?

R0x144[7] bit is a SYNC prevent bit for SYSREF divider. i.e. when the SYNC input comes, it should not SYNC the SYSREF divider, when keep value "1".

But there can be possibility, when the device is configured in SYSREF 0-delay mode, where SYSREF divider is in the PLL loop and doesn't needed any SYNC event.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Ajeet Pal

  • Hi Selvakumar,

Seems you are operating the device in distribution mode and I don't see any issue on writing the 0x144 --> "FF" and reading back same value in my evaluation board.

Can you please the schematic of LMK section and may be LMK exact use case in your system (clock input frequency / output frequency / operating mode etc..) to help you quickly?

    Thanks!
