LMK00304: Query regarding LMK00304 applications for PCIe Gen 4 speeds

Hi 

We want to use LMK00304 in our design, we are working on PCIe Gen 4 complaint clocking but LMK00304 mention in its datasheet that it supports only Gen 3, but similiar series part LMK00301 supports upto Gen 6 complaint speeds. So, just wanted to confirm that the new revision of datasheet of LMK00304 supports Gen 3 only or there are some upgradation in the part.

    Hi Nitin,

    LMK00304 share the same design as LMK00301 so it should be able to support higher Gen than in the datasheet. We will collect data to verify and put the higher Gen support for LMK00304 in next datasheet revision.
