Hi team,

 

My customer is looking for oscillator that can be used with USB to SATA bridge (TUSB9261). But most of the oscillator’s datasheet in the market does not state jitter parameter. Would you please advise how to determine oscillator’s jitter? Is it possible to estimate from another parameter?

FYI, the specs I'm referring to is total jitter,  random jitter and peak-to-peak jitter.

    Hi Kurumi, 

    I looked through the oscillator jitter requirements for TUSB9261 and I believe LMK6C meets these specs. I'm not sure how JTF 1 sigma value is being calculated, but it does pass the peak-peak jitter requirements with a good margin.
